Music centre Het Anker in Beek en Donk offers a musical afternoon not to be missed. Under the theme ‘All the World's a Stage’, the Royal Harmonies Asterius in Oisterwijk and Oefening en Uitspanning will present an enchanting concert.
The afternoon will be opened by Koninklijke Harmonie Asterius, conducted by conductor Jack Otten. This orchestra is currently preparing for an important competition in November and offers the audience a taste of their repertoire. Their programme opens with Malcolm Arnold's lively ‘English Dances’, followed by Alfred Reed's powerful ‘Othello’. The musical journey concludes with ‘I Shall Love But Thee’ by Jan van der Roost, a moving piece that shows the emotional depth of Asterius.
