A 'Design your sustainable garden' workshop will be held as part of 'sustainability week'. Would you like to discover how to design your own garden in a sustainable way to attract more birds, hedgehogs, butterflies and bees? And would you like to learn how best to collect rainwater in your garden? Then you can join the 'Design your sustainable garden' workshop for free. The workshop will take place on 10 October in the council chamber of the town hall.
During this workshop, Antoon Verhoeven of IVN Laarbeek and Tim van Gerven of Waterschap Aa en Maas will give fascinating presentations on topics such as birds, water storage, climate adaptation and biodiversity. After the presentations, you will get to work designing your own garden, under the guidance of experienced garden designers. You will also have a chance to ask questions to representatives of IVN and the Water Board. As an extra, you will receive the book 'From tile garden to jungle' and a gardening kit to get started in your own garden.
You can register for this workshop until 5 October at the latest via the theme page on the website. There is only room for a maximum of 20 participants, so be quick because full is full.
