Frog concert, a cosy event by IVN Laarbeek

The merrily croaking frogs in the pond of IVN nature garden the Bimd traditionally form the background chorus of a cosy event: the Frog Concert. This year too, stalls with information about the association and with creative and natural products will be set up on the first Sunday in June. On stage, three groups will provide the music. Ambiance will perform Dutch-language listening songs, Tuna will let you enjoy Spanish temperament and Cairn o'Mhor will enchant the audience with Irish folk music. Children can have fun in all sorts of ways at this event. Puddling in the pond under the guidance of the water working group is a success every year. Or exploring on the bird trail, at the insect wall, mouse rider, fern wall, bat cellar and hedgehog shelters. Build your own nesting boxes, braid willows or get your face painted. There are puppet shows and reading at the storytelling tree. Or go on the barefoot path and feel the sensation of walking on different kinds of surfaces. Also a very special experience for adults.

Expert guides from IVN Laarbeek provide walks and you can taste tea in the tearoom. And of course there will again be a wonderful exhibition by photo working group Kieknou. The members of this working group regularly win national awards. 

The opening will be performed by former mayor of Laarbeek Hans Gilissen. He is chairman of the Supervisory Board of the national IVN. Admission to this unique event is free and there is ample parking. The Bimd is located on the Beekseweg 3 in Aarle-Rixtel. Or you can follow the signs IVN Laarbeek.
