The musical is about Aldo's pizzeria and Paulien's snack bar. Aldo and Paulien are involved in a competitive battle. The customers stay away en masse because they don't want to hear about the quarrel. However, a few tramps and diamond thieves have an advantage. This leads to comical misunderstandings and shady barter deals.
