Vocal concert by Korale in Croy castle

until 27 November

Korale, Ensemble for Vocal Music, will give a concert at Croy Castle in Aarle-Rixtel on Sunday afternoon 27 November. The varied a cappella concert includes about 15 pieces in various styles. These include accessible music from a variety of countries, mainly European but also some from South Africa. The choir thus offers a glimpse of its broad repertoire. The performance will be led by Korale's new conductor, Giel Jacobs.

Korale has existed in its current composition since September 2011. In that year, two choirs went on together: 'Kleinkoor Korale', founded in 1993 and emerged from the youth choir Don Capé from Aarle-Rixtel, and 'Kalliope', started in 1982 in Beek en Donk and led by Giel Jacobs for its entire existence. Members are scattered from the cores of Laarbeek and some from neighbouring municipalities. Both choirs sang mainly a cappella, without instrumental accompaniment, and their repertoire matched well. Important reasons why the merger went smoothly. Both repertoire and sound and performance quality have grown since then, making Korale concerts highly appreciated by many.

Partly due to the beautiful location of Croy castle, it promises to be a beautiful musical experience. However, space is limited. Because of the expected interest, the concert will therefore be performed twice, first from 14:30 to 15:15 and then from 16:00 to 16:45. After each performance, there will be an opportunity to have a drink in the basement.

You can register by e-mail to info@korale.nl for one or more seats at either concert. Applications will be processed in order of receipt. Full is full, unfortunately. Admission is free, a voluntary contribution is greatly appreciated. More information about Korale can be found at www.korale.nl or www.facebook.com/koralekooruitlaarbeek.
