Walsbergs bos
Walsbergse woods The Walsbergse woods were created when heathland was planted with coniferous trees. Especially at the edges of the forest one can find deciduous trees such as oak, birch and rowan. Exhaustion of the heath led to sand drifts, traces of which can still be found. The woods are known as a biotope for the smallest type of bird of the country, the goldcrest.
