Hagelkruis
The Hagelkruis is mentioned for the first time in a lease contract in 1419 'called the Haghelcruys in this place.' The cross is the oldest stone hagelkruis in the Netherlands. Hagelkruisen are placed in the fields to protect crops from hail and storms and to ward off evil spirits.
