D'n Bouwvakker, monument at the Wilhelminaplein in Someren
The statue of D'n Bouwvak was donated by Bouwbedrijf Wijnen on 11-10-1985, on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the construction company. The artist who made the statue is sculptor Niek van Leest from Lage Zwaluwe. The symbolism: In Someren - in proportion - more people work in construction than in other Brabant municipalities. Intended as a tribute to the Someren construction worker.
