Town hall of Someren

Town Hall at Wilhelminaplein 1 in Someren; The previous town hall was built in 1936, designed by architect Roffelsen and built by contractor Frans van Bree. In 1980, the building was radically renovated, including a substantial extension at the rear, based on a design by architects J. de Jong from Schaik and A. van Heugten from Someren. The architectural style refers to the Bossche School. In the council chamber there are 4 stained glass windows by glass artist Piet Schoenmakers. These windows, unveiled on May 29, 1950, were donated by the inhabitants of Nederweert to the population of Someren in gratitude for taking in refugees from Nederweert between 1940 and 1944. Exhibitions are regularly held in the town hall.
