The EDAH-Museum
The EDAH-Museum shows the development of the distribution and production of foodstuffs from the past to the supermarket of today. From 3 September 2021 onwards, the new EDAH-Museum will be opened in Loods20 in the former Van Gend & Loos building, Binnen Parallelweg 2 in Helmond.
The museum shows the tools that the grocer of old had to use to do his job and the tools that the modern supermarket manager now has at his disposal. And follow along the way how the tasks of the butcher, the baker and the milkman have gradually been taken over by the supermarket.

Helmond and its region has always been an area where many food production companies are located. In the EDAH-Museum you get to know some of these companies. Together with these industries, the EDAH-Museum wants to develop into a regional museum of food production and distribution.
Visitors are enthusiastic
From the many reactions of visitors, you can tell that the museum appeals to them and touches them deeply. The various 'shops' provide many memories of the past, but also a great deal of appreciation for contemporary developments. Children stand around in wonderment.
They are full of praise for the hospitable reception and the guided tour by the enthusiastic, mostly former EDAH employees.
Groups of at least 10 people can visit the museum by appointment.

Prices
- from €2.00 to €8.00 Admission for adults: € 5.00 pp incl. 1 drink / a combined ticket with the Draaiorgelmuseum is € 8.00 pp incl. 2 drinks. For children up to 12 years of age (primary school): € 2.00 incl. 1 drink / a combined ticket with the Draaiorgelmuseum is € 3.00 incl. 2 drinks. A guided tour costs € 10.00 per group of 10-16 people.
