Deer park "Het hertenkamp"
The park was completely refurbished in 2015. The riding stables offer a stunning view of the park.
When the deer park in Asten threatened to disappear, the owners of Manege Heijligers took over its management to preserve the park. The deer park was refurbished and a playground was built right next to the park. A special Foundation was established in order to realise the park and maintain it in future. When the deer park in Asten threatened to disappear, the owners of Manege Heijligers took over its management to preserve the park. The deer park was refurbished and a playground was built right next to the park. A special Foundation was established in order to realise the park and maintain it in future. The park boasts a variety of playground equipment for different ages.
There is also a pony track in the playground so children can enjoy a pony ride. From 1 May to 1 October, a pony is available to ride every Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to noon, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Weather permitting, of course! If in doubt, you can always call ahead to ask if the pony rides are on.
Admission to the playground is free. The playground is open to all, not just visitors to the riding stables. Dogs are not allowed in the playground.
