As soon as the first notes sound, it becomes completely silent. Roon Staal's refined piano playing and warm tenor voice envelop the audience like a gentle spring breeze. With a mix of Dutch and English songs, he manages to touch his audience right in the heart.

This spring, the singer-songwriter is touring twenty unique locations in the Netherlands. He is a guest at Croy Castle in Aarle Rixtel, where the concert takes place outdoors in good weather and indoors in less favorable weather.

From musical star to master of the listening concert
Roon Staal previously performed on large stages such as the Royal Theatre Carré, the Luxor Theatre, and the Beatrix Theatre. He played leading roles in musicals such as Les Misérables, Tommy, and Petticoat. Nowadays, he consciously chooses small-scale listening concerts, where there is room for stillness and personal contact with the audience.

Special friendship with Art Garfunkel
The fact that Roon Staal is an exceptional singer did not go unnoticed. Art Garfunkel, known from Simon & Garfunkel, recognized his talent and visited him at his home in North Holland. A special friendship developed, after which Staal was invited to be the opening act during Garfunkel's European tour. Art Garfunkel spoke highly of him: “The extraordinary talent of Roon Staal, one of the truly great singers in the western world.”

A concert full of recognition and emotion
During the Spring Concert, Roon Staal performs a mix of well-known songs and his own work. Songs by Simon & Garfunkel, ABBA, The Beatles, and John Denver, among others, receive a personal interpretation, alongside the evergreen Help Me Through The Night by Ede Staal and his own song Nog Elke Dag. In between, he shares candid stories from his life, giving each song even more meaning.
