Also in De Mortel, the Orange Committee is extremely pleased to be able to present, as always, a beautiful program for young and old again.
The program on Wednesday, April 27 begins at 10 a.m. with the most beautifully decorated bicycle contest for the youth on the village square. All the beautiful bikes will be viewed and the flag will be hoisted, after which the children on their bikes will make a tour through De Mortel accompanied by brass band St. Lucia. Both the fairytale theme park "Strawberry Land" and the optical illusion park "Mind Mystery," both located in Horst, have provided some free tickets for the winners of the contest.

From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., there will be a play day at De Sprank. This afternoon is filled with fun children's activities such as games, bouncy castles, slime making, crafts, face painting and pancake eating. In the evening the Orange Committee presents the 55+ ball with this year's dazzling show by Stichting Revue Aarle-Rixtel. Stichting Revue Aarle-Rixtel provided sold-out venues during '75 years of liberation' in the Gaviolizaal in Helmond and De Dreef in Aarle-Rixtel. With a new show full of English and Dutch sing-alongs from the past, interspersed with short comic skits, they will be on stage in De Sprank during King's Day. The venue opens at 7 p.m., followed by the traditional toast with a nice orange bitters. The show starts at 7:30 p.m. and admission is free.
