Theo van de Mortel will give a lecture on birds of prey and owls at IVN Laarbeek.
Theo van de Mortel from Someren-Eind has been a lifelong bird and nature enthusiast. Since 1967, he has been conducting research as an ornithologist on the behavior and lifestyles of birds in the wild. In 1970, he became a certified bird ringer for the Vogeltrekstation (Bird Migration Station). He works for the Netherlands Institute of Ecology in Wageningen and conducts bird research of scientific importance for SOVON Netherlands. Since 2006, he has photographed everything in nature. He has photographed many remarkable birds and has published 34 books about them.

Theo is a highly valued speaker at bird associations in the region because of his extensive knowledge of birds in the wild, his magnificent photo collection, and his slide show on European birds of prey, owls, and the great grey shrike.
