Nature guides from IVN Laarbeek will take you on a surprising sidewalk plant walk through Lieshout as part of ‘De Hort Op’.

Between paving stones, along facades, and at the edge of the street, a world grows that often goes unnoticed. Small, tough plants manage to hold their own in cracks and crevices right in the middle of the village or city. During this walk, you will discover just how special these 'ordinary' sidewalk plants actually are.

You will learn to recognize them, hear why they grow exactly there, and what clever adaptations they have to survive heat, drought, and foot traffic. Moreover, some turn out to be edible or have a long history in folk medicine. What looks like weeds to many suddenly takes on a completely different appearance.

Join us on this journey of discovery close to home and let yourself be surprised by the resilience of nature between stone and concrete.

Registration and prior knowledge are not required, but curiosity about that often unnoticed plant world is. The walk starts at the parking lot opposite Bavaria Brewery Café.
