‘Sweet Cookie’ is both life-saving and -threatening for Gerrie. He has type 1 diabetes and is therefore constantly balancing on the tightrope of proper blood sugar levels. He will always have a dichotomy towards this delicious but life-shortening refreshment. Or is that not only true for people with diabetes?

In his new show, he also wrestles with the other meaning of ‘Sweet Cookie’. What have we always swallowed as sweet cake? Or is just everything we are taught and told true? In his third full-length show, he talks about how he sees this. In a way only Gerrie can; with humour and a bit of confrontational pain. The hereafter, life and everything in between. A dichotomy that everyone has to deal with from time to time. In Gerrie's eyes, we are all a bit diabetic. Some just swallow more sweet cake than others.
