Street Art Adventure

Become a real street artist for an afternoon.

Are you adventurous, in Year 5 to 8, and do you like cool art? Then grab your chance and become a real street artist for an afternoon! On Wednesday afternoon, the youth centre in Beek en Donk will be transformed into a creative workshop.

Together with renowned street artist Bart Deshamer, you will get to work with spray cans, paint and stencils. Just like Banksy, they create bold works of art in which nothing is too crazy. This afternoon is especially for children who dare to explore, try new things and get dirty. Under Bart's guidance, you will design your own work of art. Whether it looks like a real Banksy or exactly how you want it to, it's up to you. At the end of the afternoon, they will open their own exhibition. This way, parents, grandparents and friends can admire your artwork, and of course you can proudly take it home with you afterwards!

This cool activity is organised by Bibliotheek de Lage Beemden and LEVLaarbeek and is part of Children's Book Week. This year's theme is “Full of Adventure”. The afternoon is for children in grades 5 to 8. Register quickly via the library's website.
