Inspiration Café with Frans van den Heuvel

A dialogue on stage where the audience is free to join in with their own questions and experiences. After Wim Daniëls and Anita van Vlerken, it is Frans van den Heuvel's turn this time.

Frans is known in Aarle-Rixtel for the steady expansion of his greengrocery 'Power to the Pieper', offering salads and featuring a healthy & fresh vending machine. However, with 'Power to the people', Frans is also working on another dream. Currently, it is a day care center for 15-18 elderly people, but eventually, it is intended to become a fully-fledged almshouse where seniors can spend their old age without worry, independently yet with care. Permanent care professionals, freelancers, and volunteers work there, but Frans built it up entirely in his own time and at his own expense. A wonderful way to support the well-being of the elderly and to mobilize others for a good cause.

This evening, Frans will share what led him to invest so much of his own time, money, and energy into this project. About the example of Melrose Place from the TV series of the same name. And about why it is important to want to do something good for your community. Just like last time, the conversation will be led by Marina Kapteyn from the Spiritus Foundation. Doors open half an hour before the start. The planned duration is approximately one hour. A voluntary contribution towards the costs of these meetings is welcome.
