King shooting and fairground activity Guild of Saint Leonard

Fairground activities organised by the Guild at the 't Wipke shooting range.

This includes the traditional king shooting, king's cross shooting, air rifle shooting for young people and the shooting of the fairground king or queen.

The fair programme begins with the reception of guests at 't Wipke. This is followed by the king shooting. This year promises to be another exciting battle between the uniformed Guild brothers and sisters. Non-Guild members are also welcome to participate. Both women and men, aged 18 or older and living in Laarbeek. As soon as the last remnant of the bird has fallen, the new king will be installed. At 3.30 p.m., there will be air rifle shooting for young people under the age of 18. Who will take the place of the current youth fair king, Lenn van der Bruggen? At 4 p.m., it is time for the king's cross shooting. Crosses must be purchased before 3.30 p.m. Finally, at 6 p.m., both ladies and gentlemen over the age of 18 can compete for the title of fairground king or queen. This title does not entail any obligations towards the guild. It is purely for honour and fun. Unfortunately, they will have to say goodbye to fairground queen 2024 Dorothe van Rixtel, but she will undoubtedly join the battle to win the title again.
