Who keeps your story

Library De Lage Beemden is looking for residents of Laarbeek, Gemert-Bakel, and Boekel who want to have their life stories recorded, as well as volunteers who want to help write these stories down.

Writing down your story can be a wonderful way to preserve memories and pass something on to your children or grandchildren. Storytellers are paired with a volunteer writer. Together, they recall memories and put the story on paper. This can be about childhood, family, work, or special events. It is also valuable for the writer. Susanne (50): “A life story is a gift that works both ways. While the other person’s memories come to life, you naturally reflect on your own journey.”
