Nature Work Days at IVN Laarbeek

The annual Nature Work Days are also held at IVN Laarbeek. 

This project is an initiative of the twelve provincial Landscape Management organizations of LandschappenNL. Across the country, volunteers roll up their sleeves to help preserve and protect nature and landscapes close to home. They participate in tasks such as pollarding, cleaning ponds, creating brushwood piles, planting trees, or building insect hotels.

Of course, IVN Laarbeek is taking part again this year. We start both days (Friday and Saturday) in our building De Bimd with coffee/tea. Then we begin the work. At lunchtime, we provide soup and sandwiches. Everyone is welcome to join. Even if you have no experience with green volunteer work. You can decide how many hours you want to contribute. It's a great way to gain experience working outdoors. 
And above all: it's also a lot of fun.

Activities This year, the plan is to prune the alder lane on Friday and make a brush pile. On Saturday, we’ll remove the excess small trees and shrubs along the natural riverbank and do some pruning work as well. Because the number of volunteers participating is registered nationally, it’s helpful if you sign up. Check it out on the nature work day website. Look for the Aarle-Rixtel location.
