Film evening by Heemkundekring Hof van Liessent

The archives of the Heemkundekring ’t Hof van Liessent contain various interesting films of notable events from the past. Therefore, the board of the Heemkundekring ’t has decided to organize a film evening.

To ensure the best possible result, the theater hall of the Dorpshuis in Lieshout was chosen, where an excellent screen is available. Because September 18th is recorded in the books as the Liberation Day of Lieshout, several films made around the time of the liberation, or with the liberation as their theme, will be screened that evening. For instance, a film about the liberation of Laarbeek will be shown. A film commemorating 60 years of the liberation of Mariahout will also be screened. Furthermore, there will be a film about the commemoration of Market Garden in Mariahout. After these three films, there will be a break to allow for refreshments. After the break, a color film of Lieshout and Mariahout in 1965 will be shown. This film evening is free of charge for everyone, including non-members of the local history society. The Local History Society hopes to meet many interested people on this interesting evening.
