Harmonie St Caecilia is celebrating its anniversary with a fantastic program for the entire village. There's something for everyone, plenty of fun, and even more music.
A beer cactus (€25), numerous bands, a hangover brunch for the whole village, a musical parade, and much more. On the Friday, Saturday, and Sunday after Ascension Day, Harmonie St Caecilia will celebrate its anniversary with activities for everyone. The festival site is De Heuvel in Lieshout, on and around the Kiosk, and in a large party tent on "the gravel pit" next to the former Rabobank.
St Caecilia kicks off Friday afternoon, May 15th, with a large reunion for (former) members and friends of the association. Afterwards, the entire village can enjoy Laarbeek Proeft, a culinary highlight around dinnertime. Afterward, they'll be well-rested and ready to roll into the evening. The party tent features a giant anniversary beer cactus with a cantus band. Afterwards, enjoy the party with your beer mugs full and the music of Die Partyhosen.
There's a slight chance of a hangover on Saturday, but don't worry. St Caecilia is organizing a Brabant Hangover Brunch for the entire village, complete with bacon and eggs! Afterward, an interactive family treasure hunt through Lieshout is on the agenda. When the treasure hunters return to De Heuvel, local talent will take the stage at the Open Podium at d'n Heuvel. Saturday's evening program is once again a feast for the eyes, featuring the Dis-Coband and the Guus Meeuwis Tribute Band (known from The Battle of the Bands on SBS6) (€22.50).
For those who haven't caught the party bug yet, they're coming to you on Sunday: friendly bands and clubs will parade through the village in a musical procession. The parade will, of course, end at De Heuvel, where the music will continue. In the afternoon, the top party band Eighty-Eight will play, followed by the BOSCO Jazz & Pop Orchestra featuring none other than Johnny Rosenberg.
