Lecture: IVN and their bees

Joyce van Boekel and Marion de Dooij will give a lecture on ‘IVN & the Bees’ at De Bimd in Aarle-Rixtel.
With great enthusiasm, they will talk about—as the title suggests—IVN and the bees. Beekeeping can be done in many different ways, and Joyce and Marion will take their audience through the choices they make for their bees at IVN. Naturally, the emphasis lies on keeping the bees healthy and on the educational function; consequently, they do not choose to focus on, for example, maximizing honey production. In October, they will conclude the 2026 bee year, at which point they will look back on what went well and, of course, on the lessons learned. Additionally, a connection will be made with the other ‘disciplines’ within the IVN (insects, flowers and plants, etc.) to learn from one another.
