Walking for freedom

Liberation Day is celebrated by the Amnesty Groups Eindhoven, Gemert and Laarbeek with a sponsor walk. With wars in Ukraine, Gaza and other hotbeds around the world, we rejoice that we live in peace in a free country.

This year, they will walk on Sunday 5 May from Eindhoven, Gemert and Laarbeek to Museum Bevrijdende Vleugels in Best. In Mariahout, they will join the group from Gemert. They will leave from the Duinhoven-Vogels Mariahout Nursery. From there, the distance to the museum is about 11 kilometres.

The aim of the walk is primarily to actively celebrate freedom with a beautiful and pleasant walk through the Brabant countryside. In addition, walkers can donate an amount to the work of Amnesty International. At the museum, there will be an opportunity to write a card in support of victims of human rights violations.
