New Talent Orchestra zweite Auflage

Have you always dreamed of playing in an orchestra? Or would you like to make music, but are hesitant to join an association? Then this is your chance!

‘Nieuw Talent Orkest second edition’ is an initiative in Beek en Donk where people with and without musical experience work towards a concert over 10 weeks.

With ‘Nieuw Talent Orkest’, you can learn to play a wind or percussion instrument and make music together, even without any musical background. Knowledge of reading sheet music is not required; feel free to make mistakes and ask anything you want. Fun is the focus, and it is no coincidence that the concept, which originated in Friesland, has already led to more than 200 orchestras throughout the Netherlands. In Beek en Donk, a working group has been established with enthusiasts who came across the Frisian concept ‘Nij Talint Orkest’. It is very successful, and many people have heard of it. Now they want to launch it here as well. They will be doing this starting Sunday, October 4, with the orchestra led by conductor Marianke van Doore-Hobé. Besides being a musical concept, it is also a social one. You will meet new people, visit a new place, and enjoy making music together. The idea is to work towards a concert in December over 10 rehearsals. Any adult aged 30 and over who thinks it would be fun to play along is welcome. From beginners who cannot yet read sheet music to musicians who already have some experience.

The costs cover everything: an instrument, the conductor, the location, sheet music, and a music stand; you will also receive help from experienced musicians. Fun is the priority, and it is very accessible. Everyone from all communities is welcome. Many people feel happier and better in an orchestra. If you didn't have the opportunity in the past but think it would be great fun now, you are welcome. You will join a group with everyone who has an interest in music, so the connection is made quickly. You are all striving for a beautiful concert, and perhaps a group will remain afterwards with whom you can continue making music together. That is certainly the intention, because making music together is the most beautiful thing there is.
