Double concert in Croy Castle Garden

Nadara Gypsy Wedding Band and Manito will perform a double concert at Kateel Croy.

This DOUBLE concert presents the unique result of a journey through the world of Gypsy music. A journey (the Roma Drom) that began with the orchestras of their fathers, uncles, and aunts. Nadara Gypsy Wedding Band presents melancholic and virtuoso Gypsy music deeply rooted in Roma tradition, but also leaves room for original compositions. What you hear is proof that this music is very much alive. Alexandra Beaujard (Alex), from the French-oriented accordion music scene, and Tocila, from the Hungarian-Romanian wedding music scene, have been the core of Nadara Gypsy Wedding Band for almost 20 years. The fusion of accordion, violin, double bass, brács (viola), and saxophone creates a performance so natural that one hardly realizes that this is a combination of Western and Eastern European musical styles. The fresh joy of playing is evident as the dancers and musicians challenge each other musically. Csárdás (Hungarian dance), Romanian dance, and oriental belly dance alternate.
The audience is invited to join in the dancing, eating, and drinking at this Transylvanian wedding.

MANITO (flamenco):
Inspired by his uncle, who played Django Reinhardt's music, Manito began playing guitar at an early age. He developed his own style on the flamenco guitar. Manito and Nadara will most likely perform a joint finale.
