Historical parade Boerenbondsmuseum Gemert

On Sunday, April 21, the annual Historical Parade of the Boerenbonds Museum will traditionally take place in the center of Gemert.
A long procession passes by and shows life in a Brabant village in the period 1900 to 1940. The parade gives an idea of various old crafts that are practiced in the Boerenbondsmuseum during the season. The parade also shows a selection from the museum collection of tools, machines and clothing. The parade is further complemented by numerous beautiful carriages and horse teams and depicted customs and customs.
This year the old steam fire engine from Gorinchem will also participate. The children will recognize this steam syringe from the national Sinterklaas arrival in Gorinchem in November.

It is as if history passes before the eyes of the public. The parade starts around 2 p.m. near the castle and then heads via the center of Gemert to the Boerenbondsmuseum. This afternoon the Boerenbondsmuseum opens its doors for free. Everyone is welcome to chat again while enjoying a snack and a drink and to enjoy performances by the Hunting Horn and Trumpet Corps, the “Scottish” Piper Band, the flag waving of the guild, a demonstration by the Veterans Sports Club and to to admire the steam fire engine up close.
