Filmfestival De Nacht Van Het Witte Doek
Contact
From Thursday 27 August to Sunday 30 August 2026, Deurne once again transforms into one big cinema during the 35th edition of Nacht van het Witte Doek. For four days, visitors can enjoy films, documentaries, premieres, special guests, live music and many other activities at locations throughout the town centre.
Since its launch in 1992, Nacht van het Witte Doek has grown into the Netherlands’ oldest and largest multi-day open-air film festival with free-access screenings. Films are shown not only at Cultuurcentrum Deurne, but also at special locations such as the Market Square, the gardens of Museum De Wieger and De Ossenbeemd, Holtens Molen, Het Dinghuis and, for the first time this year, Hofke van Marijke.

The theme of this anniversary edition is Schitteren, shining on and off the screen. Actress Monic Hendrickx is this year’s festival ambassador and will visit Deurne on Thursday, 27 August. Her debut film De Poolse Bruid will be screened, followed by a Q&A with the audience. Later that evening, she will present the Film Talent Award Brabant to the best Brabant graduation films in the fiction and documentary categories.
Another highlight is the sold-out Lord of the Rings marathon on Friday night. Film lovers can immerse themselves in the fantasy world of Frodo, Gandalf and Middle-earth for no less than nine hours.
