The Kouwenbergs Kerkje will host four "Inspiration Cafés" in 2026.
Starting with special guest author-presenter Wim Daniëls. The Kouwenbergs Kerkje is organizing this event in collaboration with the Spiritus Foundation, chaired by Deacon Ton Schepens.
The Spiritus Foundation helps people who want to start a small, usually local, charity project to get their plans organized and funded. Wim Daniëls, born in Aarle-Rixtel, helped bring an old manuscript by the 16th-century humanist Arnoldus Arlenius from Italy to the village three years ago, and has previously been involved with various other local charities. On March 26th, he will be asked what inspires him—then and now—and what he enjoys and appreciates about contributing to society. The Kouwenbergs Kerkje hosts unifying activities and gatherings for Aarle-Rixtel throughout the year, but its schedule still allows for additional initiatives. The "Samen beter doen!" (Doing Better Together!) Inspiration Café will be hosting four more evenings in 2026. These events not only provide an informative and entertaining opportunity to meet, but also encourage people to discuss past plans and new ideas. Who knows, they might even work together to achieve this, for people in the village and/or beyond, even in Ghana or elsewhere! For more information, visit the Spiritus Foundation website.
