Percussion concert: Seats to the Beats

Percussion ensembles A and B of the Koninklijke Harmonie Oefening & Uitspanning in Beek en Donk will give an interactive concert in Muziekcentrum Het Anker. During this informal and interactive percussion concert, the audience can come and sit in and around the orchestra so that they can actually experience up close the percussion instruments they are most interested in while they are played live.

In this way, enthusiastic concert-goers get a direct experience of what it could be like if they played in the orchestra themselves. Between songs, when the percussionists move to other instruments, the audience is also allowed to change seats, allowing the music to be enjoyed in an even more versatile way. The songs that range between different styles like samba, funk, rock, epic film music, inspiring marimba solos and embalming sounds for the soul, are interspersed with some classical concert works and some better-known hits. This makes this concert a rich oasis of sound and playing for the true music lover!

Afterwards, the brand new freshly founded jazz quintet Vibe5 will play in the foyer to end the evening smoothly while enjoying an additional drink.
