Concert: ODE, MORRICONE and others

ODE presents its spring concert under the name ‘Concerto á Due’.

For the orchestra of 50 musicians, which is still growing, a large part of their repertoire consists of film music, in both sound and image. Since 2025, ODE has made a small expansion with the addition of real film music. It is a dream come true. Through additional group rehearsals, ODE has allowed the orchestra to grow to the point where the music enhances the film and action shots. Music that is balanced and right, in the style of Ennio Morricone, and subsequently appearing on the screen are: La Vita E Bella with an arrangement by Lorenzo Bocci, Jurassic Park with composer John Williams, Game Of Thrones with arr. Jay Bocook, and a few more well-known films that we have all certainly seen at some point. With Hubert conducting, the musicians of ODE have pulled out all the stops to surprise the audience. This evening is dedicated to the pure enjoyment of familiar and unfamiliar film music; in doing so, they aim to strike the right chord with every music lover. To make this evening more colorful, ‘Closer2Fine’ invites you to enjoy beautiful acoustic music. Closer2Fine is an acoustic cover group consisting of four women and two men. They are known for their multi-part vocals, accompanied by guitar and percussion. Their repertoire consists of an atmospheric mix of country, pop, and rock songs. In a time when AI can generate music, when America is culturally torn apart, and when Nashville sometimes seems more propaganda than poetry, Closer2Fine seeks the multiple chords and truth of existence.

With their harmonious vocals and characteristic instrumental accompaniment, they create a warm, full sound and give a unique twist to well-known songs. The group hails from Gemert and the surrounding area and effortlessly creates an intimate, living-room-like atmosphere during performances.
