Jacky van de Goor shares her perspective on wonder.
For Jacky, wonder is not just an emotion, but above all a way of looking at things. It helps you to see the extraordinary in the ordinary and to always say “yes” to what life has to offer. How can you learn to look at the world with wonder? During this interactive meeting, you will experience for yourself how you can develop a mindset of wonder. Jacky talks about the different forms of wonder, the difference between wonder and awe, and how you can experience wonder through stories and poetic listening. All of this is based on the ideas of philosopher Martin Buber and Jacky's own research. Jacky works as an organisational coach, leadership trainer, researcher and author. Her research into meaning and stories forms the basis of her work, in which she helps people find meaning and wonder in their daily lives.
This lecture is part of Feel Good January, a month full of activities to experience moments of wonder and connection together. Everyone is welcome to participate and discover how wonder can help you go through life with an open mind. This evening will take place at the Ontmoetingscentrum in Beek en Donk. Please register via the library's website.
