Kabouterbos | Bakel

One of Bakel’s top attractions is the Gnome Forest. A whole gnome community lives there happily together, working and having fun.

There are as many as four hundred of them. The gnomes, in all shapes and sizes, populate the Bospark Bakel estate. Some of them guide visitors along all the paths and sights the estate has to offer. Most of them live together in an area known as the Gnome Forest, which is a true attraction for both adults and, especially, young visitors. The gnomes in “their” part of Bospark Bakel lack for nothing. They have little houses, workshops, mushrooms of course, crosswalks, clotheslines, a footbridge, and even their own mailbox.
