KOKS in Gemert is nestled on the banks of the river Aa, in one of the area’s most beautiful locations. Following a takeover of the hospitality business in 2020, the old farmhouse underwent a major evolution that saw the function room/restaurant fully rebuilt and renovated. It’s a trusted venue in the region, known for its hospitality, its high quality and conviviality in a place where everyone is welcome – whether for lunch, dinner, pancakes or just a drink. There’s always a varied menu available, with familiar and traditional dishes given a modern twist. The restaurant and all-season terrace and garden are the foundation of this Gemert hotspot. It’s a cosy, trusted, bustling location that makes everyone feel at home. Children are always welcome, with more than enough for them to do thanks to the brand-new play facilities. Both the indoor and outdoor areas have been designed to ensure that they have a fantastic time too. Come and enjoy one of the most beautiful spots on the banks of the Aa, as well as the rural surroundings of Gemert, Boekel, Beek and Donk and Erp. The venue is also ideal for business and private events, with a suitable space to accommodate any kind of occasion – the atmospheric all-season terrace, the cosy tipi tent, one of our comfortable function rooms or the informal and welcoming restaurant.
Tipi tent and child-friendly
The real eye-catcher in the KOKS garden is the tipi tent. It can accommodate as many as 30 people and is the ideal location for a BBQ, a memorable meeting, a workshop or baby shower. The possibilities are endless! Our multilingual team can arrange full-service BBQs in the open air, plus KOKS also offers a range of fully customised hospitality packages – all with children in mind. The renovated restaurant area has a new children’s playroom, with an interactive and educational play system supplied by IKC Studio. Outdoors, they can enjoy the brand-new outdoor playground and the fenced-in lawn area. Wherever they are, they’ll always be in view of the all-season terrace, so the kids can play while the adults relax.
Gemert and surroundings
KOKS is located at the crossroads of a number of cycle routes on the network, and has become a popular spot for passing cyclists. Guests like to combine a visit to KOKS with a ride or hike through Het Hurkske nature reserve, a pilgrimage to the Esdonks Kapelleke, the impressive Gemert Castle or the interesting Boerenbondsmuseum, where you can take a journey into the history of Brabant farming a century ago.
