St. Joris Chapel
Next to the old shop ‘Uw Kruidenier’ stands a small chapel dedicated to Saint George. This chapel was erected in 2008 in honour of the Asten Guild: the Catherine Guild. This was the guild of Our Lady (Mary) and the Saint George Guild. The chapel is built from original old materials. Every year, the St George’s Guild comes here to pay homage to their patron saint. The text ‘Joris 1460’ is inscribed on the façade of the chapel. An ANWB information board can be found next to the house.
