Someren Library
The library in Someren is free for everyone to read and consult materials. There is also free wifi. Borrowing materials is only possible with a valid library card. In 2012, the municipality commissioned the (former) Someren artist Anne Verhoijsen to create a suitable work of art for the library. Anne has designed a facade text that is attached to the wall next to the main entrance of the library in a handwritten text, made of stainless steel material. The two separate sentences refer to the book as an object as well as to what this object has to offer; text. The text reads; "it is written" "it is said". In the spring of 2012, during the annual Boekenweek, the work was applied to the outside of the library.
