After the renewal drive in the 1960s, this modern church was built in 1965.
It was designed by L.C. van de Lee and features a unique saddle-shaped roof. The detached bell tower still contains the bell from the former church.
The church replaced the 1922 church that was demolished on Ripssestraat because at the time it had become too small for Sunday church attendance only.
Building a new church was cheaper than rebuilding the first one was the motivation at the time. The financing was largely arranged by building pastor Van Laarschot who initiated all kinds of actions through which the faithful raised the mostly needed money.
