1844 wheat grinding windmill In 1844, miller's man Johannes van Hombergh of Deurne built this mill, which originally had its sails close to the ground. Around 1890, the mill was levered up, i.e., the body was heightened by about two meters. The mill machinery was also moved up by two meters. The newly created tower underneath the smock held room for an oil mill.
Damaged by war  In 1909, carpenter's son Jan van Deursen of Asten bought the mill and started flour production. Toon van Kalis came to work at the mill for pressing oil. Around 1929, the oil mill was removed and a diesel engine was installed in an annexe. English artillery fire damaged the mill in 1944, but milling continued with a single wind-arm to provide the baker with flour.

Electric milling Electric milling occurred for the first time in 1948, in a stone shed built early during the war to the north of the mill. Deurne municipality bought the mill in 1966 and had it restored.
Natural garden with bronze statues The mill is located in a natural garden that features some 20 bronze statues by artist Joep Coppens, who lives near the mill.
