Music garden concert

The MuziektuinPodium Foundation is once again holding an afternoon concert in the Music Garden of Beek en Donk.

This afternoon, too, features a varied program with performances on the beautiful kiosk and the small stage next to the ParkPavilion.

The afternoon concert will be opened by La Chispa. Flamenco is the style as well as the source of inspiration for the music they create. However, South American canciones are also performed. Ad Verwegen plays the guitar, the flamenco instrument par excellence. George Gijsbers plays the flute. Carla Geerts not only sings passionately but is also skilled in the palmas, the rhythmic clapping of flamenco.

Next, it is the turn of the Stoomafblaaskapel. The Coöperatieve StoomAfblaas Kapel is a musical group founded in April 1986 within the De Eendracht neighborhood in Beek en Donk. Their objective is to enjoy making music together with residents of the De Eendracht neighborhood and other musicians. Currently, the band consists of about 20 playing members; in addition, several supporting and honorary members are part of the group.

They are followed by a performance by Vocal Group Transparant. They are an association of over 90 singers with a driven conductor and an enthusiastic vocal coach. Vocal Group Transparant (VGT) was founded in mid-2009. The choir has no age restrictions and they sing with 7 voice parts. Their mission: to make innovative music with your voice, to perform in a groundbreaking way, and to feel connected to one another in the process.

This is followed by a performance by the folk song choir Wellie. The name WELLIE has the Brabant meaning of "we all," which is naturally very fitting, because here in Brabant, WELLIE sings for them, you all, and you all.

The program for this afternoon is rounded off with a performance by Jazz Cape. JaZZcape is a band of enthusiastic, high-level amateur musicians who make music in a dynamic and infectious atmosphere. In every performance, jazz, Latin, and pop alternate with great energy and fun.
