Toon Kortooms Park is located where the famous novelist Toon Kortooms grew up. The park covers approximately 3 hectares and is situated in the middle of the “de Peel” nature reserve, which is often described in his novels, such as in his books “Beekman en Beekman” and “Help! De dokter verzuipt”. In the park you will find: A museum An exhibition about the writer Toon Kortooms, where you can admire his books and other personal memorabilia.
The peat cutting The restaurant offers excellent cuisine, under the direction of our son Davy as head chef. The restaurant can seat at least 60 visitors. In addition, there is a terrace that can seat another 100 guests. Both the restaurant and the terrace offer a beautiful view of the vast Peel. The restaurant has two glass walls that can be opened. This gives our visitors the feeling that they are in the middle of the Peel.
A barefoot experience trail. On this walking trail, you can discover the differences in the soil conditions of the Peel region with your bare feet.
Tea garden and art exhibition In the cottage garden, which is freely accessible to visitors, you can admire various works of art by different artists.
