Ommetje Oost - Mariahout
You can choose between the original route: the 4.6 km Ommetje Oost-short or the 6.2 km Ommetje Oost-long (Click on: View route folder). Here we show a route that is somewhere in between, at 5.8 km. The area it encloses is characterized by a variety of arable farming and forest. The Heieindseloop forms the blue line through this area. The Ommetjelang takes the walker near the Pluktuin (Pluck Garden), the chapel of St. Anthony, and for a cup of coffee at 'In de Hei' (In the Heath). Via the Ommetje Oost, you will connect to the Boerdonkse Kampen routes. The route continues via De Lange Pad, as part of the historic D’n Erpse Pad. The Ommetje-short also connects there. Finally, the walk continues along the fitness trail where a meeting place has been created for young and old.
