The Statue Route Helmond

Helmond is a city of the visual arts. The Statue Route, a walk through the city center or the adjoining Castle Park is a true art experience.

With about 70 statues and 5 “Open galleries”, the city center of Helmond is sure to leave an indelible impression on its visitors.

Art Route/Statue Route
All the more reason why the city of Helmond decided to publish an “Art Route”. This walking route, which takes between an hour and an hour and a half, takes you past this wonderful and varied collection of works of art.
Artists
The statues vary from impressive, monumental signs to more intimate, small statues in enclosed surroundings. The route features statues from well-known and less well-known artists. Some of the artists are Aristide Maillol, André Volten, Pépé Grégoire, Irene Fortuyn, Saskia Pfaeltzer, Eugene Dodeigne and Helmond’s own Willem van der Velden.
Education and children
There are special routes available for educational purposes and for children, going through the Castle Park and the Boscotondo premises.

The Art Route is available for free at the VVV Helmond (Watermolenwal 11) and the Municipal Museum Helmond.
