Parking Zandbos, accessible via the Schalkertweg and Strijpsebaan Deurne. The starting coordinates are: N 51.468276, E 5.767567.
Signposting
The route is indicated with green signposting, with the arrow indicating the direction of the route (green triangle with two dots underneath).

Winding paths
Het Zandbos is a wooded area with winding paths, the possibilities of which are optimally utilized. Three quarters of the route consists of single track with many bends, roots and tree stumps, making it fairly technical. The track regularly deviates from the wide path, to suddenly change to a singletrack, which has been specially constructed for this purpose.

The large Buntven is even more varied, halfway along the route, which is almost completely circumvented. In rainy weather it can be quite swampy here.
ATB-route network Deurne
The route can be easily combined with the other routes in the municipality of Deurne; Walsbergroute, Liesselroute, Leenselroute, Bikkelsroute and Neerkantroute. These routes are connected by connecting routes, which are marked with the black MTB sign (black triangle with two dots underneath).
