IVN Laarbeek is participating in NLdoet again this year.
This volunteer event is organized annually by the Oranje Fonds (Orange Fund). NLdoet puts volunteer work in the spotlight during these days and, with extensive publicity, encourages as many Dutch people as possible to volunteer for a day.

What will IVN Laarbeek do?
There will be work outside in the garden, at the wood storage, and also inside the IVN building.
Both days will focus on renovating the area immediately behind the main gate. There lies a completely silted-up ditch. It can already be seen on old maps. The goal is to restore this ditch to its former glory. This means removing wood growth and excavating the sand. The wooden ridge that serves as a barrier also needs renovation. To reinforce it, it needs to be supported with poles. Finally, the adjacent shed, used for storing wood and other materials for the renovation, will be cleared and partially removed.
IVN De Bimd building is due for a major cleanup. Washing windows, both inside and out, cleaning cabinets, and tidying up. This will be done as much as possible on Fridays. Many hands make light work, so sign up for these tasks. All help is welcome! Of course, as always, IVN will provide coffee, tea, and a delicious lunch with soup.
You can register for just Friday, just Saturday, or both days. You can register via email or through the NLdoet website, www.nldoet.nl. More information can be found on the IVN Laarbeek website and Facebook page.
