Beek en Donk Senior Citizens' Association 75 Years Exhibition

The 75th anniversary of the Beek en Donk Senior Citizens' Association, formerly the KBO, is a wonderful reason for a special exhibition in ’t Oude Raadhuis.

The exhibition takes visitors on a journey through time, from approximately 1970 up to the present day. A tremendous amount has happened over the past 75 years, and this is clearly visible during this exhibition. Old and new photos, photo albums, videos, newspaper articles, and all kinds of other mementos provide a beautiful picture of the association and of senior life in Beek en Donk throughout the years.

For many visitors, it will undoubtedly be a feast of recognition. Anyone who encounters themselves, family members, friends, or acquaintances in old photos may suddenly find themselves transported back to another time. Even for those less familiar with the association, the exhibition offers an interesting look at the history and activities of seniors in Beek en Donk. (Everyone is very welcome. (There is a stairlift available to the 1st floor.)

The anniversary exhibition is not just for members of the Senior Citizens' Association. In fact, all seniors from Beek en Donk are cordially invited to come and take a look. During opening hours, attendants will be present who are happy to speak with visitors, answer questions, and provide a guided tour if desired.

The exhibition will be festively opened on Sunday, October 18 at 2:00 PM. After that, the exhibition will be open every afternoon. The exhibition will be closed on Monday, October 19 and Tuesday, October 20.

Coffee with a treat
Furthermore, a visit to the exhibition can be nicely combined with a pleasant coffee break. Knus bij Marie has a special offer for visitors during these exhibition days: a cup of coffee with a treat at a reduced price.

In short: come and take a look, reminisce, perhaps discover forgotten stories, and enjoy 75 years of the Beek en Donk Senior Citizens' Association together!

The association has various activities throughout the year; get in touch with the ushers, and perhaps you would also like to become a member of this thriving association.
