He has been painting for about six years, partly as a result of participating in Project Rembrandt.
His paintings are all in oil, and the themes are very diverse.
They include still lifes, human figures, and cityscapes.
He enjoys visiting museums to admire the artistic brushstrokes of the artists. He has studied many techniques of old masters such as Willem Kalf, William Bouguereau, Jan Lievens, and Willem Koekoek.
Most of his paintings are in shades of brown and vary in size. However, some are more vibrantly colored. He doesn't want to specialize in a specific genre yet, as the variety of subjects continues to inspire him. On the advice of others, he has started exhibiting his work in the area.
