Culture Festival at De Wieger

On Sunday, 27 September, Deurne comes alive during the Deurne Culture Festival, and Museum De Wieger is joining the celebrations. Visitors can explore the museum free of charge, enjoy live music and take part in a guided tour.

Free guided tour and live music
At 2:30 pm, an enthusiastic guide will take visitors on Tour De Wieger, revealing the fascinating history of the former home, medical practice and studio of physician and artist Hendrik Wiegersma. The tour starts at the reception desk in the main building and is free of charge. A maximum of 15 people can participate and advance reservations are not possible, so places are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Throughout the afternoon, visitors can enjoy live music in De Ateliers. Children can also explore the museum garden with binoculars and a free activity and colouring sheet.

Discover the exhibitions
Visit Karin Bos' I know what I saw and discover sculptures by Erik Wuthrich in the Klein Atelier and museum garden. The main building features Brabant Modern – Following Sluijters and Other Innovators, as well as The Judas Kiss, highlights from the permanent collection and fascinating reminders of the life of Hendrik Wiegersma.

The Culture Festival starts at 12:00 pm, with free performances, presentations and cultural activities at various locations throughout Deurne. A wonderful opportunity to experience art, music and culture in the heart of the town!
