Freedom Festival Laarbeek
Celebrate and Commemorate and the Laarbeek municipality are holding the Freedom Festival in Mariahout.
The day starts at Oranjeplein where a number of World War II military vehicles are on display for viewing. Here opok d eharmony and the guild will gather for the Freedom Parade.
They walk from Oranjeplein to the Lourdes Cave to collect the Freedom Fire. After that, they go via the two war graves in the cemetery to the Liberation Monument at the entrance to the Open Air Theatre.

The lighting of the Liberation Fire at the Liberation Monument on Oranjeplein will be done by the mayor and the Youth Council. After a short ceremony, people go in procession to the jogging track. This trim track has been completely refurbished and will then be officially opened. After the opening, there will be a free Freedom Picnic and all Laarbeek primary school children can take part in the Freedom Games. There are fun games, new equipment and a big air cushion-storming course.
