Conchita & Pedro with ‘Gracias a la Vida’

Conchita & Pedro will perform ‘Gracias a la Vida’ as part of Lazy Sunday Afternoon.

In 'Gracias a la Vida', Conchita Barbé Vicuña and Pieter Thijssen honor the life and music of Mercedes Sosa, the legendary singer who touched millions with her powerful voice. Her songs conveyed the hope, pain, and dignity of the people – they became a symbol of resistance as well as love.

Conchita brings Sosa’s most beautiful and moving songs to life, accompanied by Pieter on guitar and bandoneon in authentic Argentine musical styles. A musical ode to courage, love, and freedom. Admission is free, including a snack and a drink. A voluntary contribution is appreciated so that they can continue organizing these performances. Additionally, the Laarbeek Art Route takes place on the weekend of June 6 and 7, where graphic art and sculptures by Jan van de Pol can also be viewed in the garden.
